"Oil tank" released on Industrial culture

Natalia Kamia's album "Oil tank", based on recordings of a free improvisation together with Björn Eriksson and Daniel Wedin in a Cisternen at Svanö is released on Industrial Culture. It's a limited edition so hurry. Natalia say "I prefer cassettes to CDs and even vinyl records: they are retro- cute, the sound of a cassette deck is like purring of a cat." An she's not talking about the warmth of the tape.

Industrial culture is a new netlabel for experimental, ambient, noise, neofolk, industrial, jazz. More info here and here. Also keep in mind that  it's a golden jubilee for a compact cassette in August, 50 years! Read more here.

Listen to Kamikuma and Bubotu Cotumbo's Micro Nasties

12 seconds is enough for making a decision. Listen to a collaborative album where the starting point was this temporal constraint. It contains micro gestures, both individual and joined, coming from sound artists with different styles (Kamikuma's naive, simplistic punk baroque, on annoyingly distorted piano, and Bubotu Cotumbo's organic primitivism, noisey, but subliminally beautiful, are put together with a help of a poetic narrative. Their order is not always musically logical and definitely non-narrative, desperately seeking unity and failing every time. To fully perceive the split i recommend headphones, it is a two channel mix. To listen click here.
